Francesca Liberatore - Backstage - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2015

For the second consecutive season, Francesca Liberatore returns to New York Fashion Week as the Italian Talent supported by the DHL Exported Program.

With her signature pure aesthetic and conceived deconstruction, history is once again the main inspiration behind the collection of this young stylist who always surprises us.

Titled “The Super Hero Woman”, Francesca’s Fall/Winter Collection brings to the catwalk a woman in evolution, divided between ordinary austerity, elegance and a provocative statement of a heroic ego in a moral quest for a courageous ideal.

Strict tailoring, outerwear, precise lines and black and whites are deconstructed to provide a glimpse and then affirm prints akin to Medieval Knighthood, replete with strong fabrics, leather, furs, heavy jacquards and, for the first time, knitwear with the bold battle colors: red and silver.

With ease, Francesca’s woman can wear the daily fashionable uniform as well as outfits that show the audacious side of a Metropolitan Heroine who stands in between the sacred and the profane, but never without her signature piece: the miniskirt.

The woman and the Super Hero, parade, mutate, fight and win in a time travel battle for the ages set to an original soundtrack composed by Ermal Meta.
