NYFW Men: Sergio Davila Spring 2016

Sergio Davila MS16 (23)For Spring 2016, Sergio Davila’s thoughts turn to freedom. Proposing a functional, elegant, and smart wardrobe inspired by the ardent and ambitious New York man, Sergio Davila continues to bridge the preppy sportswear of the American Northeast with the sumptuous and clean textiles of his native Peru.

Boasting exclusive cotton blends personally developed by small artisanal companies, the collection focuses on tradition and status while maintaining simplistic, considered details that endorse a streamlined formality of dressing for the future.

Jacquard tank tops and polo shirts are paired with cuffed, linen-cotton slacks in earth tones. Jackets with hoods for a rainy day are mixed with gauzy, sumptuous knit tops that offer a languid, relaxed appeal.

Sweaters with the preciousness of a fine-pima and tanguis cotton meet seersucker jackets that evoke South American leisure in pistachio, independence blue, and earth tones. Perforated suede leather sailing jackets with shorts beckon for a peregrine expedition for North and South American destinations alike.

Sergio Davila’s signature originated in pursuit of a better-fitting pair of pants. Today’s trousers come in off-white, papaya, dusky pink, and light khaki, providing versatility from the Ivy League to the Inca Trail, from office to evening.

The Sergio Davila gentleman is one with a focus on quality fabrication, and the designer is pleased to offer supreme, World Class Peruvian cottons in a full collection of menswear—a range of timeless pieces in vibrant colors that reflect an intellectual, active, and romantic lifestyle.
