NEW YORK, May 22, 2014/ — Perfectly timed for Memorial Day, Macy’s “American Icons” campaign was launched on May 21st at Macy’s Herald Square.
Calvin Klein white label is one of the brands prominently featured in the “American Icons” series. Showing its wholehearted support for the campaign, Calvin Klein white label hosted the special appearance by 11-time Olympic medalist swimmer, Ryan Lochte, and model, Ireland Basinger Baldwin, to the launch.
For the event, Mr. Lochte and Ms. Basinger Baldwin – who are the faces of the Calvin Klein white label for Macy’s “American Icons” advertising campaign – were wardrobed in key pieces from the line.
Customers in attendance had the opportunity to meet Mr. Lochte and Ms. Basinger Baldwin and have their photograph taken with them with any Calvin Klein purchase at Macy’s. Guests at the event enjoyed music by DJ Chelsea Leyland, who was also wardrobed in Calvin Klein white label.
The Calvin Klein white label line curated for Macy’s “American Icons” focuses on clean lines and a modern aesthetic inspired by an athletic influence. Sporty details are seen throughout, from crew neck and tank silhouettes, to mesh accents, racing stripes and dynamic prints.
The offering includes sportswear, jeans, dresses, performancewear, swimwear, underwear, shoes and handbags – all capturing America’s carefree spirit and the essence of 21st century style. The line is currently available in Macy’s stores across the country and on macys.com.
Now in its second year, Macy’s popular “American Icons” campaign celebrates the heritage, landscape, time-honored traditions and people that make America great. The initiative includes a variety of family events inspired by America’s favorite pastimes, fashions from beloved designers, all-star talent and a give back program to support Got Your 6, benefitting those who have served our country.
