Mulberry and Frieze Fete First Ever Frieze New York

NEW YORK, May 7, 2012/ — Mulberry’s Creative Director Emma Hill and Frieze founders Amanda Sharp and Matthew Slotover joined forces on Friday 4 May to host an intimate dinner in celebration of the Frieze Art Fair’s New York debut and in honour of the artists of Frieze Projects.

Mulberry is the sponsor of Frieze Projects: a not-for-profit initiative featuring commissioned artworks around the outdoor space of Randall’s Island, which are accessible to all visitors to the area.

The artists involved with Frieze Projects attended the dinner, held at The Crown restaurant on New York’s Upper East Side, alongside guests such as Emma Hill who was wearing a Mulberry shift dress in Black from Spring/Summer 2012 Catwalk and carried the Double Handled Lily in Flame Exotic Tweed from the AW12 Catwalk Collection.

Lauren Remington-Platt carried the Mini Taylor in Deer Brown from AW12 and wore the Woven Sandal in Nightshade from SS12

Jenna Courtin-Clarins carried the Oak Cookie Lily from SS12

Cecilia Alemani wore the Belted Shirt Dress in Plastic Animals

American singer Lana Del Rey performed during the evening, wearing the Three Quarter Blouse in Flame Heavy Lace, the Fitted Pencil Skirt in Flame and the Del Rey bag in Black all from the AW12 Collection. Lana was Emma Hill’s inspiration for Mulberry’s newest bag, the Del Rey, which launches in stores and online in mid-May.
