Debuting on the catwalk on Wednesday, February 5th at 1:00 PM at The Highline Hotel, designers Alex Orley, Matthew Orley and Samantha Florence found themselves the center of attention in the burgeoning menswear scene in New York.
Originally launched with a capsule collection of Italian-made knitwear during the Fall/Winter 2012 fashion season, Orley expanded into a full ready-to-wear collection for Spring/Summer 2014.
And with the collection being already available at Bergdorf Goodman, Union in Los Angeles, Fivestory New York, Carson Street Clothiers, Roden Gray in Vancouver, and United Arrows in Japan, along with other high-end boutiques across the U.S. and Canada, introducing the label on the very competitive New York catwalk became imperative to the trio designers who plan to take Orley into the next level.
For Fall/Winter 2014, the trio mixes finely tailored suiting with luxe knit pullovers and cardigans, staying true to their knitwear roots. In reaction to the romantic and louche feeling of Spring/Summer 2014, Orley incorporated structured, linear outerwear accented with leather and slim fit pants to evoke a sense of urgent urbanity.
