“Awkward Bitch, My Life with MS” Book Reading at DKNY Madison Avenue

NEW YORK, Sep 23, 2010 / FW/ — In 2004 at the age of 32, fashionista and musician Marlo Donato Parmelee was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Adjusting to this new circumstance, she candidly chronicles her personal journey in accepting the diagnosis in her memoir, “Awkward Bitch: My Life with MS”.

On Thursday, September 30th, DKNY & the National MS Society are hosting a special event at the DKNY Madison Avenue store for a book reading by author Marlo Donato Parmelee from her book.

Listen as Marlo reads a special excerpt from “Awkward Bitch: My Life with MS” while enjoying some bubbly and canapés.

The event is from 6-8 PM and Marlo will read a special excerpt from her book.

Customers will receive a 10% discount on their DKNY purchases and DKNY will donate 10% of the evening’s proceeds to the NYC – Southern NY chapter of the National MS Society.
