DALLAS, Oct 8, 2012/ — Celebrating its 35th year in 2012, the Chi Omega Christmas Market will hold its annual Chi Omega Christmas Market at the Centennial Hall at Fair Park, located at 3929 Grand Avenue, Dallas, TX to accommodate its ever expanding supporters and clientele.
“We are excited about moving the Market to Fair Park this year. It truly is the perfect place to celebrate the Market’s 35th anniversary, and it will offer a great environment for our merchants and shoppers to enjoy the Market and all it has to offer,” says Kelly Little, 2012 Chi Omega Christmas Market Co-Chair.
“We are hoping to have a record-breaking year at the Market, as our deserving beneficiaries make holiday shopping worthwhile, and we look forward to continuing this spirited tradition of giving,” Ms. Little added.
The primary yearly fundraiser for the Dallas-area Chi Omega Alumnae, the 2012 anticipated shopping event as it has been since its inception 35 years ago supports local charitable organizations and collegiate scholarships.
This year, organizers have pledged $205,000 to the following 2012 Chi Omega Christmas Market beneficiaries: Contact Crisis Line, Friends of Wednesday’s Child, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas, Night OWLS, Parkland Foundation, Readers2Leaders, Taylor’s Gift Foundation, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, and Chi Omega Collegiate Scholarships.
The 35th annual Chi Omega Christmas Market will once again offer more than 10,000 shoppers a unique holiday shopping experience showcasing gifts for every age.
More than 165 handpicked vendors from around the country will fill hundreds of coveted merchant booths transforming Centennial Hall into a luxury gift marketplace. Shoppers will discover a wide variety of hard-tofind items, including jewelry, home décor, women’s fashion, toys, holiday décor, food and drinks, items for entertaining, linens and original art.
The Chi Omega Christmas Market will run November 14-17, 2012, kicking off with the Preview Party Wednesday, November 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. where guests will have an exclusive preview of this year’s Market. Shoppers also will enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and a raffle with fantastic prizes. Preview Party tickets are $75 and offer readmission throughout the duration of the Market during general admission hours.
First Call shopping is set for Thursday, November 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. First Call tickets, good for general admission re-admittance throughout the duration of Market, are $20 and can be purchased in advance or at the door for $25.
General admission will run Thursday, November 15 from 1 to 9 p.m., Friday, November 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, November 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door or can be purchased in advance for $12 at Dallas-Fort Worth-area Tom Thumb stores and online at www.chiomegaxmas.org.
