NEW YORK, Mar 7, 2011/ — Laura Levine’s photographs are currently in The Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition Looking at Music 3.0 , featuring portraits of artists such as Madonna, the Beastie Boys, Afrika Bambaataa, Tina Weymouth & Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC and Keith Haring, among others.
Looking at Music 3.0 explores the influence of music on contemporary art practices in New York in the 1980s and 1990s and includes works by Laurie Anderson, Steven Parrino, Beastie Boys, Laura Levine, Kathleen Hanna, Lee Quinones, Miranda July, Keith Haring, Sonic Youth, the Residents, Spike Lee, Karen Finley, Diamanda Galas, and Christian Marclay.
The exhibition is organized by Barbara London, Associate Curator, Department of Media and Performance Art.
The show opened February 16 and runs through June 6, 2011.
