Recreate Golden Globes Tresses at Home

LONDON, Jan 25, 2011 / — From voluminous curls to long hair waves all the way to sleek pony tails, hair styles on the red carpet are so eclectic at the Golden Globe Awards that there are so many new hairstyles to recreate and wear.

Julia Stiles

Wearing her hair in curls, Julia Stiles completed the modernly romantic look of her Roberta Chavesa half shoulder black tulle gown with ruffles.

To recreate this look at home, first, blow dry your hair while using a ghd anti-static brush to lift the hair away from the face whilst styling. For best results, apply ghd thermal protector to give your hair ultimate protection from the heat of your hairdryer

Separate your hair into 3 sections. In each section, place the ghd styler in at the roots, rotate it 180° and slowly glide the styler slowly through the hair until reaching the end. Catch each section as it falls, and loosely twist it around your finger to define the wave.

Christina Aguilera

Fresh from the success of her film, “Burlesque”, Christina Aguilera continues the very sexy look that was cultivated in the film. Parting her platinum blonde hair at the middle, the singer/actress opted for waves and big curls to complement her very sexy Zuhair Murad strapless lace gown

To created Christina Aguilera’s hair, on your freshly wash hair, apply ghd thermal protector on your hair before blow drying it. Use a ghd anti-static brush to lift the hair away from the face whilst styling.

Separate your hair into 2 sections. In each section, place the ghd IV salon styler in at the roots, rotate it 180° and glide the styler through the hair until reaching the end. Catch each section as it falls, and loosely twist it around your finger to define the curl.

Hailee Steinfeld

If you think that the reason why Hailee Steinfeld chose a ponytail was because she was having a bad hair day, stop that thought. The “True Grit” star made the right choice for her hair style. Looking very sexy and refined with her Prabul Gurung gown, the pony tail added elegance and glamour to the look.

To recreate this look, blow dry the hair into a severe side parting and use a smoothing balm such as ghd precision wax to add gloss, definition and soft hold. Run your ghd salon IV styler through the hair, ensuring tresses are as flat and smooth as possible.

Using a soft brush, sleek the hair back into a low centre ponytail and hold it with one hand. Continue brushing the hair back until you have a totally smooth finish that is free of bumps. Secure the pony with a band.
